Mikorin the tsundere - All time lists

If you watch a lot of anime, you probably know what a tsundere is. Basically a tsundere character is somebody who is often cold, rude and hostile on the front, but also has a warm and soft side, as disclosed later. The anime world has an abundance of tsundere girls, but let's take a look at anime guys who fit that role. Here's a list of ten boys in anime who are tsundere!

10. Keisuke from Princess Comet

tsundere boy keisuke

Keisuke is a lifeguard in training from the early 2000s anime, Princess Comet. He meets the heroine of the series and although is unwilling to admit or express it, develops significant feelings for her. Regardless of Comet's advances of friendship, he's always cold towards her, but deep down, he really cares because of the classic tsundere he is. Keisuke is usually spending time near the ocean with his surfboard.

9. Chiaki Shinichi from Nodame Cantabile

tsundere boy chiaki

One of the main characters of Nodame Cantabile, Chiaki is a piano student at Momogaoka. Although Chiaki is extremely popular because of his looks and skills, he's very reserved and hesitates to get close to people. The reason for this is that he was abandoned as a child. The experiences in his past had made him to be very insecure deep down. Chiaki is constantly irritated and pissed off, especially at Nodame. Eventually, he warms up to her and even falls in love with her.

8. Usami Natsuki from Tsuritama

tsundere boy natsuki

Natsuki is a 17 year old boy who is extremely gifted when it comes to fishing. He is known as the "Fishing Prince" and is a ranked fisherman. He has a little sister who he looks after. Since their mother passed away when they were both kids, Natsuki acts as a primary guardian towards his sibling. He's rarely seen smiling and is indifferent towards everyone except his sister. But as the series progresses, the other characters manage to get close to him and Natsuki becomes much more friendlier.

7. Banri Watanuki from Inu x Boku

tsundere boy banri

Banri is part human, part demon and part..raccoon. He's a self proclaimed "bad boy", who has a cocky and arrogant attitude. He is also very reckless and does things on an impulse. However as it turns out, he's just a tsundere and is actually really sweet. He has feelings for his friend Karuta and gets visibly flustered and embarrassed around her.

6. Hikari Sakishima from Nagi no Asukara

tsundere boy hikari

At the start of the series, Hikari is a 14 year old middle-schooler. Typical tsundere trope, he's in love with his best friend Manaka and cares about her deeply, but is always scolding her and acting tough. Hikari is very disdainful towards people from above the sea. He took much pride and arrogance in his sea-life and always looked down on those from the surface. But overtime he realizes that there is not much difference between the sea and the surface. He concludes that they are alike and can work together as a team.

5. Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket

tsundere boy kyo

Fruits Basket's Kyo Sohma can be a mean and competitive jerk, but deep down he has a soft side that he tries to hide. Kyo turns into an orange cat whenever hugged by a woman, or under a huge deal of stress. Prone to embarrassment, he's also good at running away from situations, to go and cool down (or sometimes cry). Like all tsundere characters, he's awfully rude to his romantic interest, Tohru. He's typically moody and agitated, but can become overprotective to those he cares about. He eventually falls in love with Tohru and becomes more affectionate.

4. Wolfram von Bielefelt from Kyou Kara Maou!

tsundere boy wolfram

Representative of Bielefelt, pretty boy Wolfram is such an obvious tsundere. He is one of the main characters of the series Kyou Kara Maou! or "God(?) Save Our King!". Wolfram is very haughty, conceited and entitled. He can be extremely selfish and loses his temper quickly, but he can also be equally passionate.

Another striking aspect about him is that he's so beautiful, even people in dire situations in hospitals have healed just by looking at his face. Despite his prissy nature, he actually ends up harboring deep feelings for the protagonist Yuuri, and feels very insecure and jealous if Yuuri associates with other girls.

3. Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist

tsundere boy ed

Edward Elric from FMA is definitely a tsundere on some level. He's very stubborn and fights a lot with Winry Rockbell, his personal mechanic and also the girl he has feelings for. Ed never initially admits his feelings for Winry and often gets into hostile arguments with her. He also gets extremely embarrassed in several situations that suggest any romance between the two of them. However, he cares about Winry a lot and is very protective of her.

2. Syaoran Li from Cardcaptor Sakura

tsundere boy syaoran

The very first time he is introduced in the series, Syaoran plays the role of an antagonist. Initially a loner, he thought that Sakura was not good enough to collect the Clow Cards. Instead, he believed it was his own duty to collect them. Due to this, he was very distant towards her. But as they spend time together, he stops seeing her as a rival and enjoys her company.

This unfortunately does not stop him from dropping his tsundere attitude. He's still critical towards Sakura, but also gets embarrassed easily and blushes often around her. He is also seen to be jealous when Sakura is with other boys, especially Eriol.

1. Mikoto Mikoshiba from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

tsundere boy mikoto

Mikoto "Mikorin" Mikoshiba is one the most obvious and lovable tsundere boys. He's very good looking and charming, attracting many female fans who fawn over him.

Although he puts on the front of a majestic prince, he's very shy and self-conscious. He spends a lot of time playing dating-sims, from where he learns pick up lines and uses them to flirt brazenly with girls. But the truth is that he's actually terrible when it comes to being emotional and instantly gets embarrassed when he thinks about his mindless flirting. Mikoto was born on valentine's day.

Conclusion

No matter how difficult tsundere characters are, they're all the more lovable when they show their soft side! Don't you agree? Which one of these was your favorite? Or perhaps we haven't listed your tsundere boy, let us know!
