8. Plan a Picnic
Need a new Instagram picture? Plan a picnic! Putting together a picnic is a picture-perfect opportunity to get your creative juices flowing. You and your closest friends or family can stay safe while enjoying delicious food and a nice outdoor scenery.
Here are some ideas for what to pack in your picnic basket:
- A charcuterie board: cutting board, multiple types of cheeses, jam, crackers, olives, grapes, a baguette, salami, prosciutto
- A large blanket to sit on
- Wine and plastic wine glasses
7. Workout Classes
Gyms have opened up in many places around the U.S., with safety precautions in place. If you live in a place where a gym is open near you, try out a new socially distanced workout class. This could include spin classes, yoga, pilates or even Zumba. Workout classes are a fun activity to do with friends and will leave you feeling so good after!

Starting a garden will not only level up your backyard but growing your own fresh herbs and vegetables will level up your meals as well! Stop by your local nursery or Home Depot to grab the supplies you’ll need to start a garden.

5. Eat at a Restaurant
Most restaurants in the U.S. are offering outdoor dining and some indoor now. Going out to eat at a restaurant was missed dearly during quarantine, so there is no better time to get out and enjoy dining in at your favorite restaurant. This way, you can have a break from all of that home cooking you’ve been doing.
4. Read a Good Book
Reading a good book is a great escape from the world around us. Grab a cup of something warm and get cozy in your favorite corner of the house with your current favorite book. You could also head out to the beach or somewhere else in nature and get to reading there.
3. Water Sports
If you happen to live near a body of water, water sports are a great activity to boost your adrenaline and clear your mind. Kayaking and paddleboarding are a relaxing option. If you enjoy high-energy water sports, you can opt for surfing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, etc.!
2. Play Pickleball With Friends
This one can get competitive, but it is always a fun time. Pickleball is basically a larger version of ping pong, but it is definitely easier than tennis. Even if you don’t know how to play, you will get the hang of it quickly!
Pickleball is a great activity for couples because you just need four people! For all the single people out there, a group of friends will work just as well.
1. Nature Walks
Put on your favorite podcast or music and take a long walk around your neighborhood. You can even drive to a trail that runs along a lake or go on a hike (if a trail near you is open). Find the time to get out of your house and explore. The trajectory of your day will undoubtedly change for the better.
