Many Americans love fried chicken, and some have strong opinions about which restaurant makes the best.
According to Redbook magazine, the following fast-food chains are where you can find the best-fried chicken.
When you think of McDonald’s, fried chicken likely isn’t the first thing that comes to your mind. In fact, it probably doesn’t even cross your mind at all. The truth of the matter is McDonald’s does offer fried chicken — perhaps not in the traditional sense, but it is available in the form of the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Tenders.
“The buttermilk crispy chicken deserves a shoutout for punching way above what one might expect from the golden arches. It both looks and tastes good… it’s certainly a step above the McChicken,” BUSINESS INSIDER wrote in an article published on its website.
11. Kentucky Fried Chicken
KFC is the grandfather of all fast-food chicken spots. It opened in 1952 and is known for its “finger-lickin'”good chicken seasoned with 11 secret herbs and spices. In fact, it’s some of the best-seasoned fried chicken around.
KFC has come a long way from its days when it only offered bone-in fried chicken. The chain also offers the Crispy Colonel Sandwich and Extra Crispy Tenders. Still, it comes in at number 11 on this list due to the tough competition it’s facing from other restaurants. Nevertheless, the chain still serves up some pretty tasty chicken.
